BMO 3.0 and Family

bmo14BMO 3.0 finally made his debut at San Diego ComicCon 2014. Not just him, but the rest of his family, GoMO, CMO, XMO, and uMO and a few others. GoMO is the most recent feature added to BMO. He is a retractable camera module based on the Raspberry PI camera. BMO snapped pictures of his adoring fans as they snapped pictures of him. You can check out all the action on my Twitter feed.  http://twitter.com/BYOBMO

The MO FamilyMeet BMO and CMO and the rest of the family, GoMO, XMO, and uMO. BMO and CMO are characters from Adventure Time. GoMO is somewhat of a character. If you are familiar with BMO’s BFF Productions you will remember “BMO is camera!”. Instead of embedding an actual VHS camera in him I created GoMO which is built from a RaspberryPi camera board and raised an lowered with a servo. XMO, and uMO are characters I dreamed up. The idea for those two came from the question “How small of a MO can you make?” Answer: uMO (micro MO) which contains a 0.96″ OLED display which can play video. XMO is slightly larger and uses a 1.44″ LCD backlit display.

Details on the construction of each MO will be posted soon…

Dude I love your BMO thing!!!
I am doing Mine right now!!!

I arrived to Barcelona one week ago, (the same as I started workinghere).
    I need a console. I’ve been using Raspberry Pi 3 b+

I’ll do it with 2 female front USB instead of two buttons (start select) under the arrows. and than I’ll have the 3 buttons and arrows. no triggers.

With RPi3b+ I’ll have the hdmi to a monitor + I can manage the files via wifi = less work. Bluetooth is amazing for the controlors (and also keyboard and mouse).

But, I need to ask you…..

How can I have such a cute amazing face and voice recognition on mine ?
    That thing is amazing!!!!

TIP !! I’ll be printing mine, and after pollishing it I’ll do a prime spray, than USE A LIT PAINT (best glowing thing) and than use a waterbased spray on it so I can have a Glowing BMO!!

If you can give me any tips on the How to do the voice regonition and bmo… would be amazing! I would really enjoy it! It’s kinda of having a SIRI or another home, but BMO <3

Hi, we are into our purchasing of items to begin our BMO build and I wondered if there’s a synopsis of the most up to date BMO? We have the RaspPi and LCD and I have ordered a battery pack and headphones to convert. I have questions about how you continued to power the speakers from the headset or deconstruct it? I honestly have lots of questions, I’m trying my best to help my 8th grader work on this for a Science extra credit and I’m falling short 😀 His friend suggested buying a PCB Prototype for the controller and again… I’m falling on my face a bit… they need a schematic gerber file… and then once we get all the pieces in place we get to software… I know you get lots of feedback on this and I’m sure we can eventually figure it out I just don’t have a ton of funds to make mistakes with so I could use pointers. If you have the opportunity, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
